Dersin Amacı
General Chemistry-I The main target of this course is to make students comprehend the basic methodology of chemistry and the logic that will bring students from qualitative concepts to quantitative results

Matter, Elements, Compounds, Mixtures, Naming compounds. Measurements and mole concept: Measurements and units, Measurements of quantity in chemistry, Finding out of chemical formulas, Solutions. Chemical reactions and changing of matters: Chemical equations and chemical reactions, Precipitation reactions. Chemical reactions and changing of matters: Acid-base reactions, Redox reactions. Stoichiometry of reaction, Use of stoichiometry of reaction, Reaction restrictives. Properties of gases: General properties, Gas Laws. Properties of gases: General properties, Gas Laws, Real gases. Thermochemistry: Energy, heat and enthalpy, Chemical enthalpy change, reaction heats. The structure of the atom: Models of the atom, Many-electron atoms.
