This course aims to gain the experience about biotechnology which is a popular science nowadays, understanding the principles of biotechnology and the importance of microorganism used in biotechnology processes and to help to understand the researches on this field.

General introduction to biotechnology, microorganisms and their metabolisms, cell cultures, fermentation techniques, basic applications in biotechnology, microbial growth and kinetics of bioproduct formation, fermentations, applications of biotechnology.
