To gain advantages and applications of surface coating methods. To teach the applications of metal, ceramic, organic and inorganic coatings and their comparisons.

The application areas of the metal and the other alternative coating processes. Chamical and electrochemical definitions. The classification and comparison of coating processes. The preparing of the surface before coating. The equipments of coating. The additives and effects. The electroless, anorganic, organic and alloy coatings. The galvanizing. Electrolytic cupper, nickel, zinc, cadmium, tin, chromium, silver, gold, palladium and rodium coatings. The coating of the surface with sol-gel, chemical and physical vapour deposition processes. The applications in literature and homework expositions and discussion. Human and environment factor. The problems.
