Dersin Amacı

It is aimed to form the students’ infrastructure for classic period as introducing motifs and artworks used by craftsmen, ecoles of 15th and 16th centuries which were the most important periods of the Illumination Art.

Dersin İçeriği

Introducing the illumination art of 15th and 16th centuries. Original illumination workings as being inspired by the classic period with introduction sense of art and artworks of Baba Nakkaş and Karamemi who were ecole in 15th and 16th centuries.
Illuminating the special form called the Mail Kıta; supported with using of the talik calligraphy in the illumination art.

Hafta Konular ÖnHazırlık
1 Informing about the illumination art of the Conqueror period in 15th century and Baba Nakkaş style. Starting a sketch study of a illumination design formed as a frame or bookbinding in the Baba Nakkaş style.
2 Making murakka which will be worked on the illuminations. Completing sketch studies of the subject given. Giving a research study per each student about the illumination art of 15th and 16th centuries as to deliver on 12th week.
3 Starting to study the original design on the murakka.
4 Continuing to study the original design on the murakka.
5 Completing and delivering the original study on the murakka of the design formed as a frame or bookbinding in the Baba Nakkaş style.
6 Informing about the illumination art of the Bayezid Period, Suleiman, the Magnificent Period and 16th century Karamemi styles. Starting Karamemi style page working (Illumination, Naturalist Style, Double Writing).
7 Continuing and completing the sketch study. Passing the design on the murakka.
8 Continuing to study on the murakka of the page design of Karamemi Style.
9 Quiz. Completing and delivering the illumination study.
10 Informing about Mail Kıta (Talik writing frame), showing the examples. Starting the sketch study of a Mail Kıt´a illumination design.
11 Completing stage of Mail Kıt´a sketch.
12 Being presented the research subjects by the students with the help of a computer and delivering workings.
13 Starting to work the Mail Kıt´a design on the murakka.
14 Completing the Mail Kıt´a working.
