Dersin Amacı
Main aim of this course is transfer knowledge to students that how to do soil investigations and its applications. Furthermore the course subjected prepare soil investigation reports and its presentation connected with the units.

the lesson subject is determination various physical properties of basement and rocks (seismic velocity, density, electrical resistivity, magnetization, radioactivity, absorption), these physical properties using in engineering constructions and site investigations, Engineering constructions (dam, port, bridge, highway, nuclear rector, subway, tunnel, pipe line, etc) and their relation with basement, engineering properties and mechanical properties of rocks, the determination of the basement dynamical properties (attenuation, rippibility, excavability, drillability, etc) using geophysical methods, furthermore, microtremor, refraction microtremor (REMI) and ultrasonic methods, Multi-channel analysis of surface waves (MASW) and spectral analysis (SASW) and PS methods.
